WHAT is PARTNERSHIP?
Partnership is simply a way to organize. Differing needs call for different ways of organizing. In the early church, the ministry of a deacon within the church emerged as a way to meet a need (Acts 6:1-7). In our state, it is common for churches to be registered as a 503(c) and governed by a constitution and bylaws. Within our denomination, we are required to maintain a particular membership (partnership) count to remain sovereign.

Why is Becoming a Partner Important?
Becoming a partner of a church is not joining an organization, it’s committing to
a family and its mission. Formally identifying yourself with the family of Christ
followers at Harbor Life is one of the most important and exciting steps you will
ever take. More opportunities for influence and leadership are possible within the partnership framework.
