Living life together is not about pretending to have it all together, to have all the right answers, to win every debate, or even to avoid the hard questions of life. It’s about discovery and struggle, joy and pain. It’s about showing geniune care and concern while living in community with others. It’s about overcoming differences and working together to reach people for Jesus. Community is our passion. Jesus is our mission.
We believe that the church is the hope of the world. This is why we get excited about people. There is nothing more amazing than when people of differing backgrounds and experiences come together to express the mission and heart of Jesus on the Earth. We are filled with expectation as we think about the potential of what we can accomplish for Jesus together as we grow in our love for Him, others, and His mission. We trust that you will find us passionate, gracious, and felixible. We believe that Direction for Real Life is what you will find here as we live life together.
Developing Devoted Followers of Jesus.
Our dream is to connect the 81% of the dechurched and unchurched within a 5 mile radius of us with the Good News of Jesus.
We Love being Jesus Focused
We recognize that life is better when Jesus is the focus of our individual and community life. We will follow His example and allow His love and leadership to penetrate and influence our daily lives.
Flexibility is Rare, so we Will be That
Living in relationship with others – knowing and being known, loving and being loved, requires a certain amount of flexibility regarding differences. While flexibility is rare, we will hold an open hand toward non-essentials, find gracious ways to interact with one another, appreciate diversity, and create space for others.
Our World is Broken & Needs Compassion, so we Will Give it
Our response to a world filled with brokenness shall be one of compassion. God is for all people. This becomes clearer as we lean into Him gaining a better understanding of His heart. This of course is only one part of the equation. Compassion requires action. We will meet others where they are both locally and globally with energy and resources as we navigate through the tension of our limitations and the bigness of God.
We Are a Mosaic, Flawed People Telling The Story of Jesus
It is weakness and not strength that unifies us as the people of God. When we get this, we realize our need for the cross and are not afraid to be authentic with others. This is the story the world needs to hear. We are different because of Jesus.
Meaningful Connections Matter, But They Don’t Happen on Accident
God never intended for us to do life alone. It is good to both know and to be known. Meaningful connections matter, but they don’t happen on their own. Therefore we will live with intention. We will take relational risks and we will be better because of it.
Ministry is Better When Done as a Team
What we want to do and where we want to go is bigger than any one person. As a team we will give ourselves to the big picture, make room for others, and remember to celebrate along the way. Together we can make a bigger difference in our world.
